Certified FYZICAL Pelvic Health Therapist (CFPHT) Information

Pelvic floor disorders, such as urinary incontinence, are widespread at epidemic proportions. Bladder control problems increase the risk of falls and negatively impact outcomes of rehabilitation treatment of men and women of all ages. Interventions provided by Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for pelvic floor disorders are highly effective and strongly supported in the literature. Pelvic Health and Wellness services provide care for the whole person consistent with the mission and vision of FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers.

The Pelvic Health and Wellness Program at FYZICAL aims to provide FYZICAL PTs, OTs, and PTAs with education and training to offer comprehensive pelvic health rehabilitation services through a series of four (4) hybrid-format courses and one (1) free online prerequisite course. Participants are required to demonstrate competency through testing in order to progress to the next level of training.
