A Manual Therapy Approach to Evaluation and Treatment of TMJ Dysfunction(s) and Craniofascial Pain.
In this 7.5 Hour course Frank Dieckman, PT presents Manual Physical Therapy
based evaluation and treatment strategies for the patient with temporomandibular
joint dysfunction. The Otolaryngologist community report that as many as 35% of
their patients present with signs and symptoms consistent with TMJD and Physical
Therapists are ideally situated to provide these patients with appropriate care. In this
course you will learn the anatomy, physiology and biomechanics associated with TMJ
dysfunction and the evidence based evaluation and treatment interventions that will
lead to successful outcomes. This is a lab/lecture course that will emphasize the
contributions of the PT/PTA team. Strategies for documentation, clinical productivity
and marketing will be included! Manual Physical Therapy based evaluation and treatment strategies
